Cleaning and Inspecting Solar Panels Using Drones

A service-oriented technology project combining cleaning, thermal inspection, and technical reports

Who We Are

What is a solar panel cleaning service using a drone?

It is a service that utilizes a drone equipped with a suitable spraying or cleaning system to quickly and safely remove dust and dirt from solar panels. In desert environments, dust accumulates continuously, leading to reduced energy production efficiency if not regularly addressed.

Key practical benefits of the project

Who We Are

What is thermal inspection of solar panels

Thermal inspection uses a thermal camera mounted on a drone to detect temperature variations on the panel surface. A panel or cell with a problem often exhibits a higher temperature than healthy areas; this condition is commonly known as “hot spots.” This method is useful because it reveals problems that may not be visible to the naked eye, helping to detect faults early before they cause reduced production or greater damage.

What does thermal imaging reveal

Depending on the type of system used and the nature of the site, a drone can, in some cases, cover an area of approximately 2,000 to 4,000 square meters per hour during cleaning or inspection. The actual speed depends on several factors such as field size, soil density, wind, pump type, and operating route.

Hot spots

Damaged cells or panels

Areas of heavy soiling that affect performance

Some electrical connection problems or thermal distribution defects

Reduced efficiency in certain parts of the solar field

Why is this a good opportunity
